transiency-jewellery:
"Gefäss für Deinen Duft"
("vessel for your scent")
Three blackend silver parts form an amphora-shape with small handles. Small necklaces of Onyx beads are sewn through the handles, reaching in the back a plug-formed rock crystal fastening.
First I thought of a kind of "Memento Mori"-jewellery, but it is not an exact fitting image: not remaining death to lead to a better life, but remaining to one's own transiency, and the transiency of beautyful moments are ment.
Thinking about the "Memento Mori", I remembered something very transitory: the scent of a loved person. It is not possible to catch and hold it, and in the same way it is not possible to catch a lovely moment, how beautyful it may be. The vessel will remind the wearer to this impossibility, and will lead to the concious of the moment to keep it in memory.

Just like it is impossible to catch a scent, this "vessel" is none: only a recognizable outline, finished by eyes and brain to a "vessel". You can't hold anything in it but a memory.
The piece is reduced to its outlines, also because it is only matt black without the shiny blinking metal normaly has.
In opposite to the dark silver and Onyx, the "plug" of this not existing vessel is cut from bright rock crystal.
